What do you need to know from an organiser in order to provide a comprehensive quote?

For us to provide a comprehensive quote to a customer, ideally we would need to know the date the customer requires the hot tub to be delivered, the length of time they wish to hire and the location they would like the tub delivered to. We would also need to know the size of the tub they wish and if they would like to hire any form of cover, for example, a gazebo or parasol. Once all this information is gathered we can give the customer a final quote which includes delivery charges. This would then be a final quote with no "hidden" extras.

What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

I would first ask the customer to make sure that the location that the hot tub is going to be placed is flat and level to ensure maximum enjoyment. An electrical power supply needs to be within 20 metres and outdoor water supply is preferable but not a necessity, as long as the appropriate hose adapter is owned. If you can, read reviews. They may be cheap to hire from, but there may be a reason for this. Ensure you read the terms and conditions of hire.

Please tell us a little bit about how and why you started the business.

My wife and I wanted something to do together that could bring us in a little extra pocket money. We decided to buy a couple of hot tubs and took it from there. We started getting more and more interest and soon had 4 tubs and are now a year down the line. We had a few friends who owned hot tubs but sold them after one summer as they didn't want the hassle of cleaning them and storing them through the winter and if the did store them, they often didn't clean them properly and the tubs may have been damaged the next year. This got us thinking and decided that hiring would be a better idea as you could just have them for the weekend you wanted and then get rid of them.

Please tell us about a booking you've had through Add to Event, how did it go? Would you recommend us to others?

It was really easy. A lady got in touch to say that she was having her girlfriends down to visit and it was the first time they had all got together for a while as they live quite far apart. The customer had a lovely big garden and decided to surprise her friends and hire one of our Pal Springs hot tubs for the duration of the weekend. We went round on the Thursday to set up and got everything ready for her. We then explained how everything works and left her to it. We got back on the Sunday and as usual, the customer wasn't happy to see us, we get that a lot! The tub was drained and packed away and we left to get the tub home for a clean and inspection. The customer then left us a lovely review and said she hopes to use us again over Christmas or the new year.
